NETMARBLE’S THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS: ORIGIN CONCLUDES CLOSED BETA TEST WITH STRONG PLAYER FEEDBACK AHEAD OF JANUARY 2026 LAUNCH
NOVEMBER 18, 2025 - Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality games, announced today that the global Closed Beta Test (CBT) for its upcoming open-world action RPG The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin has ended with overwhelmingly positive feedback from players worldwide.
Held globally from October 30 to November 5, the CBT gave selected players access to early gameplay on PlayStation®5 and PC via Steam. Over the course of the week-long test, Netmarble evaluated optimization across platforms, gameplay systems, and overall service stability.
Post-CBT surveys revealed highly encouraging feedback: over 93% of respondents stated they plan to play the game upon its official launch. More than 85% praised the game’s graphics, story, and combat system. Many participants commended the immersive worldbuilding, dynamic combat, and impactful skill animations. Players highlighted the immersive recreation of the original anime’s universe, dynamic tag-based combat, and high-quality open-world exploration. The new multiplayer elements, which allow players to roam the field together in real time, were particularly well received, adding a fresh layer of immersion and social interaction.
Based on the CBT feedback, Netmarble will implement improvements to enhance UI/UX convenience and overall gameplay polish before launch. The test also sparked increased community engagement, as seen by rising search volume across platforms like Google and X (formerly Twitter).
Having been featured at major global gaming events including Summer Game Fest, gamescom 2025 Opening Night Live and Tokyo Game Show 2025, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin also met fans at G-STAR 2025, Korea’s largest gaming convention, where attendees experienced a hands-on demo alongside exclusive stage events. The demo was met with overwhelmingly positive feedback, particularly for its stunning visuals, immersive worldbuilding, and polished gameplay. Players praised the game’s high-quality graphics, battle system, and exploration elements, sharing comments like “The graphics are incredible and make you feel like you're inside an anime.”
Based on The Seven Deadly Sins, the popular Japanese manga and anime IP with over 55 million copies sold worldwide, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is an open-world action RPG featuring an original, multiverse-based storyline, where players can explore the continent of Britannia, engage in tag-based combat, unleash powerful combination skills, and enjoy ever-evolving action through different combinations of characters and weapons.
